MENTAL TOUGHNESS

MENTAL TOUGHNESS

The journey to reach the pinnacle requires us to take on tough challenges, face ourselves, engages serious searching, ask tough questions and find answers. Mental toughness, mental strength, resilience and tenacity are terms regularly used in the world. Mentally tough sportsmen know how to win; they have the courage to stand tall in the face of adversity and refuse to be intimidated.

Mental toughness is the stuff of champions. Mental toughness incorporate traits like Winning mentality, work ethic, self-confidence, motivation, attitude control and positive energy. Another important trait of mental toughness is the ability to take a leap of faith and believe in yourself. It is the ability not to give up! Mentally tough people are relentless, they won’t give you anything. They have that inner will and desire to never give in.

WHAT IS MENTAL TOUGHNESS?

It is the ability to keep going through adversity and the ability to bounce back, that is resilience.  All people experience tough situations or times. But in those situations, they are able to separate their thoughts and emotions from the environment in which they operate. You have to be tough to be successful in many walks of life.

Tough people are willing to make the sacrifice that others don’t seem to make. Mental toughness is the ability to take a leap of faith and believe in yourself. An extreme challenge needs extreme toughness. So you have to endure incredible discomfort that seems to be par for the course when you are striving to become the best.

World-class people have mental toughness which is expressed in different forms. Mental toughness is often necessary when you’re attempting a challenge that requires extreme physical exertion. The ability to keep going through physical discomfort and pain is an example of toughness.

“There have been many times when it seems hopeless, when the odds were stacked against me. I have been broke. I have been at points where every avenue seemed to have petered out. Invariably, that’s when things seem to happen” Polar Explorer Ben Saunders

“The greatest challenges are not necessarily physical challenges …the greatest challenges are mental”. Chris Cook, Double Olympian and Commonwealth Champion

HOW IS TOUGHNESS DEVELOPED?

I hope all is well with you!
We thank God for using different people to support Living Hope Junior Academy including you. Thank you so much! However there are so many challenges the school is facing at the moment. A week ago we received officials from Mityana District council including District health Officer & District Engineers. They inspected the school, they appreciated our buildings being on standard but they commented on the classroom environment which wasn’t conducive to allow children continue attending classes not until the floor, enough food, First Aid box-medical and scholastic is worked upon. In a nutshell a notice clarifying the closure of the school was issued to us. We’re thinking about the 200 children where they are going to get education at the beginning of the next term!
We need a total of $14,300 at the school:
  • $9,500 to complete the floor for 7 classes,
  • $2,400 for food,
  • $1,750 for medical,
  • $650 for scholastic).
In respect of your dignity and recognition of your endless support, we once again come to you seeking for more support towards the Furnishing. Remember you have been our strong support in all the developments at this school, beginning from the land purchase until now.

We really understand how you are committed to many projects around the world but your support is very paramount at the moment. However, we have also tried to contact other friends around about the same matter but no positive answer yet.

Pray & pray & pray for us!
